The LRC now has a subscription to ProQuest Dissertations and Theses: UK and Ireland.

This database provides a comprehensive record of doctoral theses from the United Kingdom and Ireland. The collection offers the most comprehensive available listing of theses, with abstracts accepted for higher degrees by universities in the United Kingdom and Ireland, since 1716:

FirstSearch


We now have access to the FirstSearch service in collaboration with the Library Services at UW Lampeter. FirstSearch provides electronic access to dozens of databases and more than 10 million full-text and full-image articles. The databases include: WorldCat, ArticleFirst, ECO, ProceedingsFirst, PapersFirst, Clase Periodica, WorldCat Dissertations, GPO, ERIC, MEDLINE, OAISter World Almanac plus MLA Bib, ATLA and ATLAS. Refurbishment over the Summer

We are working really hard over the Summer to improve our facilities ready for the new academic year, unfortunately this means we will be shut until August 10th 2009 for refurbishment work to be undertaken. Don't forget it's not just print resources we hold we also have a wide range of electronic resources as well. These include electronic books and electronic journals, so you don't even need to come in to get your hands on resources you can do it at the touch of a mouse from home!
