LRC resources now available through Google Scholar

When searching Google Scholar on campus, links to full text articles we subscribe to will now automatically appear on the right hand side of the search results.  In addition, a link also appears allowing you to "Check for full text @TSD" next to search results where we are likely to have access through alternative providers.  This allows you to search LRC resources to find full text access to the same article from a different source.

To use this service, just visit Google Scholar at http://scholar.google.co.uk

If you are searching Google Scholar off-campus, you can also check LRC resources by logging in with your Google account and changing your preferences.  Simply go to Scholar settings, click Library links and search for “Trinity Saint David” and check the tick box.

Lampeter Library Refurbishment

The final phase of the refurbishment is about to commence and we hope that work will be completed by the end of January.  While work is being carried out we will need to close the study space on the lower floor  for health and safety reasons, so  please use space on the upper floor and the mezzanine or the quiet study rooms (Cyril Williams Room/Research Postgraduate Room).

The whole of the lower floor will be closed to customers between 7/1/2013 and 12/1/2013 so that shelving can be assembled and books and journals can be moved.  If you require a book or journal issue from the lower floor please ask at the Information Point where LRC staff will be pleased to assist you.

Mae cyfnod olaf yr adnewyddu ar fin dechrau a gobeithiwn y bydd y gwaith wedi ei gwblhau erbyn diwedd Ionawr. Tra bod y gwaith yn mynd yn ei flaen bydd rhaid i ni gau’r man astudio ar y llawr isaf am resymau iechyd a diogelwch, felly defnyddiwch y llawr uchaf a’r llawr Mesanîn os gwelwch yn dda neu’r ystafelloedd astudio tawel (Ystafell Cyril Williams/Ystafell Ymchwil Ôl-raddedig).
